Can I use the website tools without an account?
Yes. Browser tools remain available without signing up. Developer accounts are only required for REST API, MCP, and usage tracking.
Do REST API and MCP share the same quota?
Yes. One API key and one monthly credit allowance cover both surfaces. Successful REST calls and MCP tool runs consume weighted credits (1–10 per tool) from the same pool (500 free credits per month on every account).
What is MCP and how is it priced?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets AI agents in Cursor, Claude, and other clients use ToolYour API-backed tools remotely at https://api.toolyour.com/mcp. MCP and REST share the same monthly request quota — no separate MCP subscription. See the MCP setup guide.
What counts toward my credit quota?
Each successful REST tool call or successful MCP tool run consumes 1–10 credits depending on the tool. Failed requests caused by invalid input generally do not consume credits unless otherwise stated for a specific endpoint.
Is there a rate limit on the Free plan?
Yes. Free accounts are limited to 5 successful tool runs per rolling 60-second window, in addition to the 500 credits per month cap. Paid plans have higher throughput with no per-minute cap.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. You can change plans from your account dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.
How do refunds work?
We offer a fair refund policy for paid subscriptions, including a 14-day satisfaction period for annual plans. Full details are on our Refund Policy page.
